What I Do At Weddings

I perform at over 25 weddings every year. I am fully aware of the importance of the smooth running and quality of entertainment on your big day. My aim, in terms of planning, arranging and quality, is to make this part of the wedding as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. The experience I have gained has given me knowledge with all types of scenarios, so nothing is too much of a challenge. My commitment and dedication to your wedding before and on the day ensures this.

Standard Service

My standard service has everything you’ll need to have an unforgettable wedding reception.

  • Arrive from your desired time. (Half hour set up time required)
  • Performance of your first dance request from my repertoire.
  • Perform two sixty minute sets of live soul/pop music
  • Background music before and between set up
  •  Crystal clear high quality PA system, suitable for up to 500 people

Sets that run from 10pm onwards will come at an additional charge (See upgrade options)

Additional Upgrade Options

 Here are some additional options you can go for, to add that little bit more of a special touch, to cater to your specific needs.

  •  Perform up to 3 hours if needed to be spread out through the day
  • Learn a first dance request that is not in my repertoire
  • Learn a song for the isle walk, back and forth.
  • Play from 10pm till midnight

Questions Or Queries

Once you have made your decision, and have chosen to go ahead with my performances, you can put your mind at ease and be assured that your entertainment is in good hands. I will be in touch with you, by phone & e-mail, around 4-3 weeks before the big day to confirm all timings, song choices and any other last minute decisions you have. If there are any super last minute decisions that you have made, or that you have missed something, please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail me anytime to discuss. There will be a dedicated and extremely professional event coordinator at our agency Alive Network that you can keep in regular contact with. They are there on hand to correspond with you regarding any problems, queries or worries, so don’t hesitate to contact them at any time, they are super thorough and always happy to help.

At Your Wedding


Arrival, Set Up & Soundcheck

A standard wedding gig for 2 hours commences with my sharp arrival at the venue (at your specified time). I’ll be loading in and setting up/sound checking. The sound check will be at a low respectable level to ensure no disruptions. This usually takes us around 30 minutes.


After Set Up

After sound check I will start right away, or put on background music, depending on the time.

1st Dance

On the day of the wedding it is common that timing slip out of kilter a little, so I shall re-liaise with you or the event manager/planner at your venue to re-confirm the timing of your first dance. I will then be ready on time to perform your chosen song.

 

1st Live Set

After the first set I will need to take a break, usually for 15-30 minutes, which is an ideal amount of time for a buffet to be served or any announcements that need to be made. During this time I will provide carefully picked background music viable for most.

 

2nd Live Set & End of the Night

After my final set, background music will be provided until I have packed away all my gear. This will be done as discreetly and quickly as possible if need be. (Usually takes around a half hour)
